Sohaney July 27, 1936 - June 8, 2024 SHELBYVILLE - Emalea Ann Sohaney, 87, of Shelbyville, IL, passed away at 1:52 a.m. Saturday, June 8, 2024, in HSHS Good Shepherd Hospital, Shelbyville, IL. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 12, 2024, in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Shelbyville, IL, with Father Pawel Augustyniak as Celebrant. Visitation will be from 9:00–11:00 a.m., Wednesday in the church. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, IL. Memorials may be given in Emalea's name to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Arrangements are by Howe & Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL. Emalea was born on July 27, 1936, in Vincennes, IN, the daughter of Gilbert and Martha (Bedford) Osterhage. She graduated as Valedictorian from Salem Community High School, Salem, IL in the Class of 1954.
