John William Herron April 4, 1948 - May 4, 2024 John William Herron was born April 4, 1948, the grandson of W.D. Herron and mother, Marguerite (Barnhart) Herron. John passed away in the early morning hours of Saturday, May 4, 2024, his Life's Journey towards meeting his Maker has been completed. He attended Windsor Schools and briefly, Sullivan High School, before joining the Marine Corps where he served two tours overseas: Vietnam and Okinawa of which his service in Vietnam exposed him to Agent Orange which claimed his life. John married Paula McKleroy on January 19, 1972. They have one son, John William Herron, Jr. John was a life member of the DAV, VFW, and the Ancient Free and Accepted Masons where he believed in the core values of Masonry. At a young age he learned to farm from daddy Buck Cole and developed a lifelong love of farming.
